Brett Williamson began working at the Law Offices of William J. Stogsdill Jr PC 2006. Since joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Williamson has worked exclusively in the field of matrimonial law. Mr. Williamson has successfully negotiated settlements and/or litigated issues involving complex financial matters, custody, support and division of property. Mr. Williamson has also successfully negotiated custody/financial settlements as they related to paternity actions.
Mr. Williamson is also the general counsel and associate board president
of a Griffith Tutoring. Griffith Tutoring is a non-profit
organization preparing at-risk Chicago high school students for the ACT
college entrance exam by partnering with businesses and training their
professionals to tutor and mentor the students.
Prior to joining the Law
Offices of William J. Stogsdill Jr PC, Mr. Williamson worked as an
insurance coverage associate attorney at Bollinger, Ruberry & Garvey in
Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Williamson received a
Juris Doctorate degree from The John Marshall Law School in
December 2005. Mr. Williamson completed his undergraduate studies
at Butler University, where he graduated with a BA in History and
English, and also received honors from the History department.
Mr. Williamson is a member of the DuPage, Will, Chicago, and Illinois Bar Associations.
